Celestials' Clash

Introduction

“It is time for new stars to shine.”

The Assassins’ Fall Tournament 2024: Celestials’ Clash will be played between 14th and 27th of October. Anyone with a healthy sense of humour and a playful mind, who mainly resides in the capital region during the game, is welcome to participate.

The tournament is played in murder rings. In a murder ring, the participants are divided into rings, where everyone is both a target and a hunter. The game is on around the clock, but players can ask for certain times or places to be declared safe zones. The most common weapons are foam dart guns and water pistols, but a murderer looking for style points would rather operate with a knife, a bomb, poison or even a lethally venomous snake.

The tournament features a voluntary extra mission, which will be played on 26th of October between 18 and 20 o’clock in the Kamppi and Hietaniemi area.

The feedback event for the tournament is held in Bruuveri at Kamppi Mall, on 3rd of November from 18 o’clock onward. Everyone is welcome to the feedback event, including bystanders who did not participate in the tournament. In the feedback event, the tournament is casually discussed and prizes are given to the tournament winners.

The participation is free of charge. Please take note that the tournament is not accessible. The enrollment is open until 13th of October 23.59 at the tournament system Slaughter:

Standing atop the high hills and cliffs of Kaivopuisto, Celestials prepared for one of its most sacred rites—the Coronation Ceremony of new leaders. For decades, the society had operated in the light of the moon and stars, pulling the strings of power and shaping the course of history, always unseen, always hidden.

Tonight, new leaders of the society would ascend among the 12 candidates.

The society was a veritable crowd. It had been only two weeks since the Celestial Ceremony, initiation of new members, concluded. It had not been merely a physical journey for the initiates; it had been a passage into the very soul of the society, designed to test the new members' mettle and guide them into the mysteries they sought to join. Each of them had been selected for their loyalty to the society’s cause, and they knew in their hearts that they were no longer the same. This night would only reinforce that feeling further.

Behind the sundial stood the reigning leaders of Celestials, a noble and tall pair blessed by the light and might of the heavens: Luna Cassiopeia and Sol Rigel. Their silver robes shimmered in the faint moonlight, and their presence alone commanded silence. Their faces, lined with the wisdom of countless years, betrayed no emotion as they stood before the society.

”Kruunajaisseremonia alkakoon,” Sol sanoi. Vaikka hänen äänensä oli vain kuiskaus, se kantautui helposti yön yli hiirenhiljaa odottavan yleisön korviin. ”Tänä iltana kaksi teistä nousee kohti taivaita,” Luna jatkoi.

With that, Luna and Sol turned, gesturing the generals to step forward, closer to the cliff’s edge, where a stone altar, polished smooth by time and magic, sat gazing at the sea. On it rested the Sage’s Stone, a relic as old as the society itself. Its gleaming, multifaceted jewel was said to contain the wisdom and power of all past leaders. Only for the chosen two, the anointed leaders, would touching the stone grant the wisdom of the past - for others, it would merely be a beautiful trinket.

The members of the society, cloaked in silver-embroidered robes, formed a perfect circle around the altar and stone.

The air was thick with anticipation, and it was as if nature itself recognized the gravity of this night and paused the rustle of trees.

And yet, the seeds of dissidence had already been sown in one general’s mind and they were about to grow into fruition.

With one violent stride, Regulus Nox grabbed the stone with gloved hands from the altar. Before anybody could even gasp, Regulus had bestowed magic of his own on the stone, cracking it into pieces on Regulus’s hand.

Chaos erupted. Regulus has always been ambitious, but only a few loyalists to his cause had known the extent of his ideas, and been aware of the power he had gained from ancient magic. Now loyalists were seeking murder, pulling knives from their robes, while others fled in fear.

Generals, Luna and Sol stared in dismay at Regulus, shedding tears for lost friendship and betrayal. Regulus cast them one final glance before turning his back and walking away with his acolytes, shouting his final words for all to hear:

”On aika uusien tähtien loistaa.”
